SS. CYRIL AND METHODIUS CHURCH and its chapel at Fairchance will hold the annual spaghetti dinner on May 21 in the church hall from noon to 5 p.m. Take-out dinners begin at 11 a.m. Meals are $6 for adults and $3 for children under age 12. AMERICAN LEGION FAYETTE COUNTY COMMITTEE, Department of Pennsylvania, will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Point Marion American Legion Post 499.
ASBURY UNITED METHODIST WOMEN, Mary Beth Circle, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Program is “Music and Witness’ by Kevin Milliken.
ALBERT GALLATIN NORTH BAND will hold a Papa John pizza fundraiser from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Albert Gallatin North Middle School.
CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF AMERICAS, Court Annunciata 260, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Bud Murphy’s, Connellsville. Rosary will be recited at 6:15 p.m. Election of officers will take place. New members are welcome.
NEARLY NEW SHOP, held in the basement of the Hopwood United Methodist Church, will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Books, clothing, jewelry, household items will be sold.
JO KRIZ CIRCLE, Asbury United Methodist Women, will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Program by Shirley Sullivan is “Shalom – Building a Culture of Peace.’
ASBURY UNITED METHODIST WOMEN will hold a feminine fellowship dinner at 6:30 p.m. on May 17. Catered buffet dinner is $8. Tickets may be purchased from Shirley Byers and Helen Grubb. Reservations must be made by Wednesday. Kaitlin Lemon and Bethany Gratchic will speak on their trip with People to People to Australia, Aukland, Fiji islands and New Zealand.
CENTER IN THE WOODS, California, will hold a demonstration of the new touch screen voting machine on Wednesday. Seniors will be able to cast sample ballots in preparation of the May 16 primary. Ron Luci, a staffer from state Rep. Peter J. Daley’s office will conduct the demonstration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
CURFEW GRANGE will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday. Flatwoods firefighters will speak at 7:30 p.m. A discussion on their request will follow.
FORT MASON AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY UNIT 423 will honor their Americanism essay contest winners and eighth grade medal winners at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Members are asked to bring a covered dish. Election of officers will follow the meeting.
BROWNSVILLE GARDEN CLUB will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson House, Brownsville. Plans for planning at the castle and National Pike Festival bake sale will be discussed.
