Bertha E. “Betty” Langley
Bertha E. “Betty” Langley, 90, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2006, in her home with her family by her side. She was born October 27, 1915, in Fairchance, the daughter of the late Lee and Ida Mae Conn Hughes.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Esther Moore.
Betty was a member of Great Bethel Baptist Church in Uniontown, Menallen Grange 1091, Margaret E. Craven 42 of Pa., and Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Darlton H. Langley of Uniontown; two children: Ronald Langley and his wife, Joycelyn, and Olinda Beatty and her husband, David all of Uniontown; two grandchildren: Susan Klatt and her husband, Ronald, and Clinton Langley and his wife, Deborah; and six great-grandchildren: Erik, Paul and Evan Klatt and Caroline, Garrett and Juliette Langley.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Friday, September 29, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, September 30, 2006, until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Greg Cooper officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Bethel Baptist Church or Menallen Grange 1091.
Menallen Grange 1091 will conduct services in the funeral home Friday evening at 7 p.m.
