State police to investigate South Union fire

According to Fayette County 911, the fire began around 12:18 a.m. South Union volunteer firefighters were on the scene for about two hours. According to Bill Luick, South Union Fire Department safety officer, the fire started in the basement, which was heavily damaged by fire, smoke and water. Luick said there was smoke damage to the upper floors of the house.

Luick said the house was occupied, but the residents got out safely.
