William “Wayne” Sutton, Sr.

William “Wayne” Sutton, Sr., 76 of Smithfield, Pa. went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on July 5, 2010 due to a massive heart attack. He was born December 23, 1933 in Fairchance, Pa. son of the late Joseph Sutton and Hulda Braddee Sutton.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister.

Wayne served in the US Army with honor as a member of the 11th Armored Calvary.

He was retired from US Steel Homestead Works with 35 years of service.

He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Fairchance, Pa.

Wayne was an avid hunter and a loving husband and father.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Loretta DeVault Sutton; his son William “Bill” Sutton, Jr. and wife Dana of Carlisle, Pa.; sisters-in-laws, Helen Sutton and husband Ed, Masontown, Pa. and Dorothy Price and husband Floyd; several nephews and nieces and a special nephew, Jeffrey Sutton of Washington, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. today from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, July 8, 2010 until 11 a.m. the hour of service with the Rev. Kelley J. Smith and Layspeaker Ed Sutton officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
