Kathryn Wyno Barreca
0005900452-01-1.jpg Kathryn Wyno Barreca, age 99 years, of Champion, Ohio died Friday, July 9, 2010 at 4:20 p.m. in Windsor House of Champion, Ohio. Kathryn was born on February 15, 1911 in Stoneboro, Pennsylvania beloved daughter of Frank Wyno and Thomasina Roppa Wyno.
She previously worked for 17 years as a Nurse’s Aide at Brownsville General Hospital, Brownsville, Pennsylvania.
Kathryn moved to Champion in 1971 from Pennsylvania.
She was a member of Saint William’s Catholic Church where she was a member of The Golden Ages.
She was also a member of VIP & Naim Club in Champion
Kathryn enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting and crafts.
On February 19, 1925 she married Phillip Barreca. He died July 14, 1972.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence Wyno, Dominic Wyno, Albert Wyno and Patsy Wyno; and a sister, Mrs. Santina.
She is survived by three children: Vivian Flamini of Champion, Phyllis (Patsy) Grossi of Dade City, Florida and Frank (Marie) Barreca of Land-O-Lakes, Florida; and eight grandchildren: Angela (Nelson) Malone, Thomas (Joyce) Flamini, Dominick (Rosa) Grossi, Patricia Crowe, Cathy (Gene) Thiem, Frank Barreca Jr., Melina Barreca and Michael (Becky) Barreca.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said in Saint William Catholic Church on Monday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Father Michael Balash as Celebrant.
Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery.
