Rhea Gwendolyn Strawser Donohoe, 94, of Uniontown, PA died Monday May 31, 2010 in the LaFayette Manor. She was born October 22, 1915, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Edward Clayton Strawser and Elizabeth Mae McCoy Strawser.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Thomas Joseph Donohoe in 1969 and a brother, Harry Strawser.

Mrs. Donohoe graduated from the South Union High School, had been an assistant manager for the Kroger Supermarket and head cashier for the Acme Supermarket and was a member of St. Peters Church. Rhea enjoyed crocheting, reading good books and watching good movies.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas H. Donohoe and wife Dianne L. of Washington, IL and Larry J. Donohoe and wife Toni E. of White Lake, MI, six grandchildren, Megan Kurpinski, April Donohoe Caton, Blake A. Donohoe, I, Fran L. Blevens, Larry Thomas Donohoe and Sherry Diane Bylan and seven great-grandchildren, Bradley Donohoe Caton, Larry Donohoe Caton, Kamiya Kurpinski, Blake Allen Donohoe, II, Cortney Lynn Donohoe, Larry Butler and Mike Butler.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 PM at St. Peters Church 60 Morgantown Street Uniontown, PA with the Rev. John T. Cruikshank officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA.
