Mary J. ‘Janey’ Cassidy
Mary J. ‘Janey’ Cassidy, age 66, of Rockport, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the CCMC Memorial Campus.
She was born Friday, January 19, 1945 in Pearl, Texas the daughter of Robert J. Cassidy and Mary F. Robinson Cassidy.
She was a retired Machinist from Rockwell International (now Sensus Technologies) in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
She was Protestant by faith.
She was a member of the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood Pennsylvania.
‘Janey’ loved bowling and playing bingo.
She is survived by two daughters: Roxann L. Smith (William) of Rockport, West Virginia and Renee L. Thomas of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; a son, Michael T. Cassidy of B a l t i m o r e, Maryland; five grandchildren: Renecia (Sergio), Billy (Amber), Joey (Shana), Ryan, Christopher; three great grandchildren: Camron, Adelina and Aubree; a sister, Margaret Ann Cooper (Robert) of F a i r c h a n c e, Pennsylvania; two brothers: Jerome Cassidy (Dorthalee) of Baltimore, Maryland and James Cassidy of Broomfield, Colorado; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 4 p.m. at the LEAVITT FUNERAL HOME, 403 Seventh Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 (301.422.6459) with Joseph Renforth officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m.
