Mary H. Colatta Casievich
Mary H. Colatta Casievich, 105, Footedale, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 in the Peroni Personal Care Home, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
She was born the daughter of Andrew Colatta and Helen Gryzak Colatta at Continental No. Three, Fayette County, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, January 31, 1906.
Mary was a member of Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Footedale, The Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the Saint Thomas Seniors Over 55 Club.
She was the oldest member of the Saint Thomas Church.
Mary loved to cook, bake and crochet and she was an avid bingo player.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Casievich; a son, Jan Jerome Casievich; a daughter, Dolores Casievich Zapotosky; four sisters, Angela Lazarz, V i c t o r i a B a r n o t, Anna Pincheck and Helen Colatta in infancy; four brothers, Charles Colatta, Joe Colatta, Denny Colatta and John Colatta; two sons-in-law, Edward Stitzer and Deane Hillenbrand.
She is survived by these daughters: Frances Stitzer of Hopwood, Pennsylvania and Carol Hillenbrand of Marco Island, Florida; a son, Joseph Casievich and his wife Freida of Ashtabula, Ohio; son-in-law, Joseph Zapotosky of Hopwood; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, N e w S a l e m, Pennsylvania today, September 7, 2011 until 9:30 a.m., when brief Prayers will be said in the Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Footedale, with the Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the S a i n t T h o m a s Church Cemetery, Footedale.
Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary immediately following the Wake Service.
