Victor A. Gismondi Sr., age 62, of Las Vegas, Nevada formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, August 2, 2012.

He was born March 21, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of Victor E. Gismondi and LaVerne (Livengood) Gismondi.

‘Vic’ graduated from Uniontown Area High School in 1968 and attended Salem College, Salem, West Virginia.

He was owner and operator of V&G Food Mart, Midtown Foodland and the Cherry Tree County Market. Throughout the years he earned numerous store awards with the help of his staff.

Vic was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and former member of the Lions Club.

He served on the Wetterau Retailer Ad Committee.

His pride was his family.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Gismondi; sons: Vic Gismondi and wife Shana of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Gino Gismondi and wife Amy of Morgantown, West Virginia, Nicholas Gismondi of Sewickley, Pa.; and one grandchild, Reagan Gismondi.

The family invites friends and family to a Service on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the MOUNT SAINT MACRINA RESURRECTION MAUSOLEUM CHAPEL with Monsignor Michael W. Matusak, V.F., Pastor of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
