Bessie D. (DeWitt) Ferree
Bessie D. (DeWitt) Ferree, age 93, of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, April 7, 2016.
She was born on Tuesday, July 18, 1922 in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Herbert DeWitt and Nell (Maser) DeWitt.
Bessie was a member of Grace Brethren Church for 69 years where she also served as Church Secretary.
She also worked as a teacher for the Fayette County Association of Retarded Children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert Ferree; and two brothers, Paul DeWitt and Clyde DeWitt
Bessie is survived by a daughter, Lola V. Miller and husband John of Uniontown, Pennsylvania grandson Christopher J. Miller and wife Rebecca, Uniontown, Pennsylvania and their daughters Faith and Marissa; grandson Shawn Miller and wife Erica and their daughters Alexa and Maggie; and a brother, Greg DeWitt and his wife Kathryn, Cleveland, Ohio
Friends will be received in DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa., Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Reverend Ronald Rosner officiating.
Interment follows in Mountainview Memorial Park, Hopwood, Pa.
