A Connellsville man is facing attempted homicide charges for allegedly stabbing a woman multiple times.

Kevin Maraugha, 52, allegedly told the woman he was going to kill her Saturday at a house on North 10th Street before stabbing her with a “large knife,” according to the affidavit of probable cause.

The alleged victim was not named.

Connellsville Police Chief Jim Capitos said one of the stab wounds was to the woman’s chest cavity. He said the injuries are severe.

Maraugha is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, according to court documents.

He was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Richard Kasunic II on a $350,000 bond.

He is lodged in Fayette County Prison.
