North Union crash investigated

One person was taken to WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital by Fayette EMS after a vehicle crash on Route 51 south in North Union Township around 7:24 a.m. Tuesday, according to Fayette County 911.

The vehicle landed on its side, and first responders had to pop a door to extricate the occupant, according to 911.

Responding to the crash were fire departments from West Leisenring, North Union and Hopwood.

State police are investigating. No additional information was provided.
