No injuries in house fire

No one was injured in a house fire at 9:23 a.m. Tuesday at 109 School Road in the community of Oliphant, according to Fayette County 911. Fairchance VFD Assistant Chief Ben Eicher said it took firefighters about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control. He said the fire damaged a bedroom and caused water damage to the remainder of the house. Two residents were home at the time and called 911, he said. The cause is being investigated by a state police fire marshal. Fayette 911 reported that the Red Cross is assisting residents with housing. Also responding were fire departments from Collier and Hopwood as well as Fayette EMS.
