The holidays were in full swing this weekend around Fayette County. The Grinch was among the celebrities who made an appearance at this year’s Connellsville Christmas parade, sponsored by the Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce on Saturday in the city’s downtown. Marching units included decorated fire trucks and the Connellsville High School marching band. The Catholic War Veterans in Hopwood held its annual fundraiser Saturday that included live music from various music acts. All proceeds from the event went to support Toys for Tots.
