The color guard wore antlers, the cattle donned holiday garlands and a vintage fire truck was topped by a smiling Kris Kringle. The elevated levels of yuletide cheer were matched by a festive crowd along High Street for Saturday’s Christmas parade in Waynesburg. The annual highlight has been going on since 1938, when it drew an estimated 7,000 people. For the fourth year in a row, first prize went to First Baptist Church of Waynesburg, which won for its Santa’s Workshop float.
