Perry Township man charged with raping child
A Perry Township man is accused of sexually assaulting a girl over a period of more than two years starting when she was 12.
Hunter Rowan, 25, is charged with rape of a child, involuntarily deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault and aggravated indecent assault.
The girl told police she suffered repeated assaults by Rowan between 2022 and 2024, according to the criminal complaint.
Charging documents stated the assaults allegedly happened near Rowan’s house or at a home near Mount Morris.
Rowan made vague threats to the girl, telling her to keep quiet or he would do “something,” the complaint said.
Rowan was awaiting a preliminary hearing as of Monday.
