UNIONTOWN
Robbery: Michael C. Hall, 34, of Uniontown, was charged with robbery and simple assault after he allegedly shoved Dominique Lewis while she was holding her 7-month-old baby around 3 p.m. on Sunday at a home in Uniontown. Police also alleged Hall choked Lewis and stole her phone. Hall faces additional charges of strangulation, receiving stolen property and reckless endangerment and has not yet been arraigned.
BROWNSVILLE
Drug possession: State police charged Joshua C. Krcelich, 24, of Cemetery Road, Brownsville, with having a “large amount” of both crack and powder cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and a gun in his possession when they arrested him on a burglary warrant on April 1 at his home. Krcelich told police he was holding the gun for a friend and said he only sells enough drugs to pay for what he uses, according to a complaint filed Monday. Krcelich is charged with possession with intent to deliver drugs, prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in Fayette County jail in lieu of $40,000 bond.
MASONTOWN
Assault: Mendo R. Love, 50, of Masontown, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and strangulation after he allegedly hit a woman in the face several times, pulled her out of a vehicle by her hair and choked her around 8 p.m. Sunday on North Ross Street in Masontown, the complaint reads. Police said the woman’s eyes were swollen shut and her ankle and wrist were twisted. The alleged victim, who was not identified in court paperwork, was taken to a West Virginia hospital for her injuries. Love has not yet been arraigned.
DONORA
Assault alleged: Daniel Preston Johnson, 33, of Donora, was charged Friday by Donora police with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct. According to the criminal complaint, at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, police were called to the 800 block of McKean Avenue for reports of two men fighting. Johnson is accused of striking Joseph Laski in the head with a baseball bat and then kicking him in the stomach. District Judge Phillippe Melograne arraigned Johnson Friday morning and sent him to the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.
Alleged sexual assault: Richard Bonafilia, 56, of Donora, was charged Friday by Donora police with indecent assault and corruption of minors. According to the criminal complaint, on May 29, a 12-year-old reported being sexually assaulted by Bonafilia at his home in the 200 block of Second Street. Charging documents accuse Bonafilia of touching the child inappropriately on multiple occasions, and giving the juvenile lingerie. District Judge Phillippe Melograne arraigned Bonafilia Friday night and sent him to the Washington County jail on $250,000 bond.
