Adrian Ross, 34, of Uniontown, was charged by the Fayette County Bureau of Investigation Friday with manufacturing, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; prohibited possession of a firearm; possession of a controlled substance; and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the criminal complaint, officers saw Ross Thursday meeting someone at an area on Main Street in Uniontown where an active investigation had determined he would conduct drug sales.

An officer pursued Ross, who threw a pistol at him during the chase, according to court paperwork. The gun was later determined to be his wife’s .40-caliber Glock, charging documents stated. Officers said they found Ross with a black envelope containing suspected crack cocaine, $60 and a key to a room at the Heritage Inn.

Ross is barred from possessing guns due to prior felony convictions on drug and gun charges, the complaint said.

Acting on a search warrant, police said, they found seven grams of crack cocaine, $300, a digital scale and a black envelope similar to the one found on Ross.

Ross was arraigned in front of District Judge Jason Cox, who set Ross’s bond at $50,000. He was unable to post bail and was lodged in the Fayette County jail.
