The death of a man found outside a strip mall in South Strabane Township Sunday morning does not appear to be suspicious, the Washington County coroner’s office and South Strabane police said.

Employees found the man’s body around 4:35 a.m. at the Trinity Point Shopping Center, 110 Trinity Point, as they were arriving for work, Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco said in the release Sunday morning.

The man was pronounced dead at 5:38 a.m. His identity is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.

The coroner’s office is investigating it as a natural death, the office said. Preliminary investigation indicates the man had a medical episode leading to his death, South Strabane Township Police Chief Drew Hilk said in a news release.

Although detectives are continuing to investigate, they’re not searching for anyone, nor do they believe the incident presents any danger to the community, Hilk said.

Anyone with information related to the death is asked to contact Hilk by calling 724-225-8111 or e-mailing dhilk@southstrabane.com.

Ambulance and Chair EMS and the South Strabane Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
