Child hospitalized after near-drowning at Jellystone Park in Springfield Township
A child was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital after nearly drowning at a Fayette County amusement park Saturday afternoon.
The 8-year-old had to be rescued from a water attraction at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park along Route 381 in Springfield Township about 1:30 p.m., according to a Fayette County 911 dispatch supervisor.
No other information was available about the incident, and the condition and identity of the child was not immediately released.
Springfield Township volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.
