Vicites to serve on national committee

1 min read

Fayette County Commissioner Vince Vicites has been nominated to a committee seat on the National Association of Counties.

Vicites will serve a one-year term on the group’s Community, Economic and Workforce Development Policy Steering Committee.

“The expertise and engagement of our steering committee members like you is a major reason why Congress and federal agencies often look to NACo for feedback on legislative policy decisions being made in Washington, D.C.,” President George Dunlap said in a letter to Vicites. “This nomination to a NACo steering committee also presents a great opportunity to share information and learn from your county colleagues.”

As a member of the committee, Vicites will also participate in monthly conference calls and attend the national legislative conference in Washington and annual conference in Savannah, Ga.

The National Association of Counties represents 3,069 county governments, 40,000 elected officials and 3.6 million county employees across the country, according to its website.
