Connellsville man charged with sexually assaulting teen
A Connellsville man is accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl at his home.
Wayne Adams, Jr., 38, is charged with statutory sexual assault by a person 11 years older, sexual assault and corruption of minors.
The 14-year-old told investigators that Adams had initiated unwanted contact when she was staying overnight at the house.
Adams did not stop when asked, and only backed off when he heard who he thought was a relative nearby, according to the criminal complaint.
Adams was arraigned Tuesday morning before Judge Richard Kasunic. He was lodged in the Fayette County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 26.
