Farmington man sentenced to prison on federal child porn charges
A Farmington man who pleaded guilty earlier this year to federal charges for distributing child pornography was sentenced to nearly six years in prison.
Nathan Fike, 41, will serve 70 months in federal prison followed by 10 years on supervised release as part of the sentence imposed Thursday by U.S. District Judge Marilyn Horan at the federal courthouse in Pittsburgh.
Fike pleaded guilty in March to distribution of a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct and possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.
In October 2023, federal investigators said Fike sent sexually explicit videos of children to an undercover FBI agent working in the bureau’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force in Jacksonville, Fla. When federal agents executed a search warrant at Fike’s home in February 2024, they found an additional 156 images and 63 videos of young children, including some under the age of 12.
