Missing W.Va. man has Uniontown ties

West Virginia State Police Kingwood Detachment has activated a Silver Alert in an attempt to locate an 84-year-old Preston County man.

Willard A. Dewitt is 6 feet tall, 240 pounds, with hazel eyes and gray hair. He was most likely last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, black suspenders and a blue/gray flannel jacket.

Dewitt drives a white 2024 Toyota Tacoma four-door pickup truck, bearing West Virginia registration 757234A and an “Airborne” front license plate. He was last seen traveling north on Lake Ford Road in Preston County, possibly headed to Oakland, Md. Dewitt also has family ties in the Uniontown, Pa., area.

Dewitt has congestive heart failure and kidney failure, requires 24-hour oxygen and has expressed he has not been feeling well.
