1 min read

Crews were working to restore water service to parts of Waynesburg Tuesday afternoon after a contractor struck a water line.

The leak occurred around 3 p.m. Tuesday, the Southwestern PA Water Authority said on its website. A “large part” of the Waynesburg area was affected by the leak, SPWA said.

Crews were working to close valves and restore water pressure to customers east of West Waynesburg, Greene County Emergency Management said in a Facebook post Tuesday afternoon. The department did not indicate when repairs would be completed.
