7-year-old boy dies after being hit by vehicle in Greene County

A 7-year-old Greene County boy has died from his injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Greene County coroner’s report, the boy, Wilson Churilla, of Greensboro, was walking westbound across state Route 88 in Monongahela Township, Greene County. He was hit by a Honda HRV driven by a 92-year-old man around 4:30 p.m. Churilla was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:06 p.m.

The driver was not identified.

Pennsylvania State Police said the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
