Fayette County offices, courthouse closed on Monday
Fayette County offices will be closed Monday due to the winter storm.
According to a press release, all county buildings will be closed to the public. Fayette County Coordinated Transportation buses will not be operating.
County employees will work from home and are not reporting to offices.
Fayette County Emergency Management and 911 will continue to operate with a full staff. Residents are asked to avoid travel unless it is necessary, and to only contact 911 for true emergencies.
Washington County offices will also be closed Monday, and employees will work remotely where possible. This includes the courthouse and all district courts.
Essential operations such as the county jail, sheriff’s office and 911 will remain open.
As of 4 p.m. Sunday, Westmoreland County offices and courts are operating on a two-hour delay and Greene County courts and offices will operate normally.
