Uniontown man charged in shooting
Financial dispute triggered shooting, says witness
A Uniontown man is charged with attempted homicide after he was accused of shooting a man in a financial dispute Monday morning.
Jimmy Lee Bradley, 41, was taken into custody shortly after the incident, which occurred in the doorway of Bradley’s residence at 110 Titus Place, the complaint said.
Uniontown police were called shortly after 10 a.m. to the office of Judge Jason Cox, where Spenola Ammamoo had run for help after being shot, the complaint said. Officers noted a gunshot wound to Ammamoo’s right arm.
A witness who lived at the residence told police he had heard Bradley and Ammamoo arguing on the phone over money.
Police found cartridge casings in Bradley’s bedroom, as well as blood stains outside the doorway and a bullet hole in the wall leading from the bedroom to the stairway, according to court paperwork.
A plastic bag found inside a vent in the basement rafters contained two Ruger firearms, a digital scale and substances suspected to be crack cocaine and marijuana, the complaint said.
Bradley is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, prohibited possession of a firearm, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of a controlled substance.
District Judge Ronald Haggerty denied Bradley bond for posing a threat to others. He is lodged in the Fayette County jail.
Bradley is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Cox on July 9.
