Man arrested in Fayette sting operation
A Washington County man was arrested after being accused of trying to set up a sexual encounter with a teenage girl in Uniontown through what turned out to be an online vigilante group.
Robert Jordan, 47, of Muse, is charged with corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of a communication facility.
The Predator Poachers group alerted Uniontown police Tuesday night that Jordan had showed up to an Airbnb on Craig Street.
According to the complaint, the group provided video of Jordan at the residence in which he discussed plans involving what he believed was a 12-year-old girl and her mother, as well as a text correspondence with the girl.
Jordan is being held without bond at the Fayette County jail.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 28.
