Uniontown woman charged with causing injuries in burglary
A Uniontown woman is accused of breaking into a home in the city and assaulting people inside.
Destinie Nicklow, 36, is charged with burglary and two counts of simple assault, according to court documents.
Residents Seth Goutierrez and Emma Wingrove told Uniontown police Nicklow and another person had kicked down the door of their residence on Main Street shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday and began beating on them, according to the criminal complaint. They then fled to the Uniontown Public Library, where they notified authorities.
Police noted a laceration to Goutierrez’s left eye, while Wingrove had a black right eye and a ripped shirt, the complaint said.
The charges were filed at District Judge Jason Cox’s office in Uniontown. Nicklow had not been arrested as of Monday afternoon.
