Man accused of arranging Rostraver Township killing arraigned
A Philadelphia man accused of arranging another man’s death was arraigned Friday and sent to Westmoreland County jail without bond.
Tuan Minh Dang, 47, is accused of hiring someone to kill Boyke Budiarachman in the parking lot of a Rostraver Township shopping plaza on Nov. 5, 2022, at the behest of Keven Van Lam.
Authorities have said Lam, 58, of North Strabane Township, and Budiarachman, 49, of Rostraver, were former business associates whose relationship had soured.
The alleged hitman, who has never been arrested, shot Budiarachman in the head, though Lam told police he’d only wanted Budiarachman beaten on the leg with a baseball bat.
According to court documents, Lam gave Dang $65,000 to arrange the hit.
Dang is charged with first-degree murder and criminal homicide; Lam is charged with criminal homicide, solicitation and conspiracy to commit homicide and tampering with evidence. He is also lodged in Westmoreland County jail without bond.
