A Uniontown jewelry store was vandalized over the weekend.

A report of property damage came in at 9 a.m. Sunday at Kay Jewelers, located at 201 Walmart Drive, said Sue Kozak-Griffith, public information officer for the Fayette County Emergency Management Agency.

Five windows were broken out of the entrance, but the culprit did not enter the building, Barnhart said. No damage estimate was available Monday afternoon.

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Kalee Barnhart said the incident is being investigated as a criminal mischief.

Barnhart said a suspect has been identified in the case.

A Kay Jewelers representative declined to comment Monday morning.
