Pedestrian injured after being hit by car in North Union

A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car in North Union Township early Monday morning.
The accident on Route 119 near the Pittsburgh Road exit was reported at 5:49 a.m., Fayette County 911 dispatch said.
The person was transported to a hospital for medical attention, dispatch said. No further information was available Monday.
The southbound lanes of Route 119 were closed near the exit ramp until around 8 a.m.
