A Philadelphia area man was charged Thursday with drug-related offenses following a March 2025 traffic stop in Uniontown.

State police arrested Danny Washington, 49, of Sharon Hill after they allegedly found illegal drugs among his possessions during an early morning search of the vehicle on March 1, 2025, according to the criminal complaint.

Trooper Dillan Nudi conducted a routine traffic stop at 2:11 a.m. after the vehicle in which Washington was a passenger failed to make a complete stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Dunlap Street and Pershing Court in Uniontown, court documents stated.

A sweep of the vehicle by a Connellsville Police Department K9 found several suspected drug-related items, including four plastic bags containing synthetic marijuana belonging to Washington, the complaint said.

After Washington was taken into custody, officers searching him found another plastic bag containing crack cocaine, the complaint said.

Charges were filed Thursday with District Judge Jason Cox.

Washington is charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent; intentional possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
