A car crashed into the front of BFS Foods store on Morgantown Street in Uniontown around 3 p.m. Friday.

Two of the vehicle’s occupants did not appear to have serious injuries but were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, according to Scott Conn, chief of Uniontown Fire Department.

“When we initially received the call, there was a report of a car into the building with people entrapped,” Conn said. “When our crews arrived on scene, we found there was a car into the front door of the building. The occupants were not entrapped.”

After the car was pulled out, it appeared the building sustained some structural damage and was temporarily closed.

“BFS is probably still going to be closed,” Conn said. “They’re going to have to secure that up. No utilities such as gas or electric lines were damaged.”

Conn noted the nearby Little Caesars pizza shop would remain open.
