James Edward Rebovich

James Edward Rebovich, 73, of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday morning, July 30, 2025, in his home, with his family by his side, following a brief illness.
He was born in Uniontown October 20, 1951, to the late Edward and Velma Fodor Rebovich.
James graduated from Brownsville High School, Class of 1969; and later went on to attend Laurel Business Institute and California University of Pennsylvania.
James was a hard-working individual and was retired from the mining and warehousing industry.
Outside of work, James enjoyed freshwater fishing in the ponds and lakes of Pennsylvania, offshore saltwater fishing for tuna and marlin, and during the fall, targeting red drum, from the beaches of Cape Hatteras. James also enjoyed hunting, and was an avid gardener. Throughout the years, his yard was filled with a variety of roses, trees, flowers, shrubs and vegetables, while also serving as the neighborhood ballfield.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his brother, Bobby.
He is survived by two sons: David Rebovich (Betty) of Virginia Beach, Va.; Justin Rebovich of Uniontown; sister, Carol McClelland (Harry) of Falls Church, Va.; two brothers, Richard and Thomas of Filbert; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services per his wishes, and the family asks that you plant a tree in his memory, in lieu of other gestures.
The family would also like to thank the entire Uniontown Hospital and Amedisys staff for all the care and support during his brief illness.
