Andrew Hudak, Jr, 83, of Uniontown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 1, 2025, in Laurel Ridge Nursing Center.
He was born on February 27, 1942, in Uniontown, son of the late Andrew Hudak, Sr. and Irene Tomasewski Hudak.
He was also predeceased in death by siblings, Carl Hudak and Gloria Boch.
Andy was a graduate of South Union High School, attended West Virginia University and was a member of the West Virginia Mountaineer Marching Band.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War then became a Service Engineer for IBM for many years before his retirement. He was a member North Union V.F.W. Post 8543, AMVETS Post 103 and American Legion Post #51.
Andy was an Eagle Scout like his brothers, volunteered as a Scout Leader for years and enjoyed building and winning at the Soap Box Derby in Fayette County and the National Championship in Akron, Ohio. He was a musician and played in multiple bands over the years.
Andy, was best known for his ability to repair anything. If Andy couldn’t fix it, it must not be broken.
Left to cherish Andy’s memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Sally Krepps Hudak; children, Richard Hudak of Virginia Beach, Va. and Suzanne Jones and husband, Keith and their daughter, Isabelle of Uniontown; brothers, Eugene Hudak and wife, Susan of Cheswick and Larry Hudak of Uniontown; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, where friends and family will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 8. Military rites will be accorded by AMVETS Post #103 of Hopwood at the funeral home.
