Anna Marie Fleming, 92, of Uniontown, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, in WVU Uniontown Hospital.
She was born Monday, July 10, 1933, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Kragcier Zapotosky.
Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Harry P. Fleming.
She was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and spent many years employed with Anchor Hocking Cap Closure and Glass Company in Connellsville. A true entrepreneur, she owned and operated her own beauty salon, gift shop, and ceramics studio, and was also a licensed teacher.
Following her retirement, she continued to share her love of learning and compassion through the Foster Grandparent Program, affiliated with Wesley in Pittsburgh. Since 2006, she volunteered her time helping to teach and nurture children between the ages of 3 and 5 at the Asbury Christian Preschool in Uniontown.
Her life was filled with music and creativity. She played both the accordion and organ, performing with several local bands. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and was a passionate bingo enthusiast.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: David Fleming and wife Janine of Uniontown; Kevin Fleming and wife Susan; and her grandchildren, Cameron, Mackenzie and Delaney of Apex, N.C. She is also survived by her cousin, Kathryn Baranek.
Friends will be received in the TERRAVECCHIA-HAKY HOME FOR FUNERALS, INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 28, and until 9:15 a.m. Friday, August 29, when prayers of transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Uniontown.
