Nancy Louise Koosher Kezmarsky, 56, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully, in her home, Saturday evening, August 23, 2025, after a most courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 29, 1968, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Stanley A. Koosher and Sue Ann Jones Koosher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Adele G. Kezmarsky, and father- in-law, Stephen E. Kezmarsky Jr.; her grandparents, Pauline Koosher and John Koosher, and Grace Jones and Randy Jones; aunt, Filomena Glad; and cousin, Bernard T. Glad.

Nancy was a 1986 graduate of Uniontown Area Senior High School. She was a preschool teacher at the Beehive Learning Center in Hopwood, where she loved teaching her young students and was affectionately known as “Miss Nancy” to her many students. She also cherished the friendships she made with the Beehive staff.

Nancy loved watching her children play sports. She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and loved the Uniontown Red Raider basketball team, and was a lifelong Duke basketball fan. She had a special love for all of her animals, from her loving dogs, especially her Tessy, who survives her, to her stray cats that she made sure had a warm place to stay and a belly full of food. More than anything, she loved and cherished being a Mom and a grandmother. She was proud of her three children and they were proud of her.

If you ask others, many would say she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Even during her illness, she worried about how taking care of her was affecting her family. She will always be remembered as a great mother, wife, sister, Mimi, Grammy and friend.

Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years and best friend, Stephen. If you knew these two, you know the special kind of love and dedication to each other that they had. They stood by each other in good times and hard times. Nothing else mattered as long as they had each other.

She is survived by her three loving children, whom she adored: Steven A. Kezmarsky and wife Becky of Newnan, Ga.; Alexa George and husband Matthew of Uniontown; and Christian Kezmarsky of Uniontown; her five grandchildren, who knew her as Grammy or Mimi: Kaden Robert Kezmarsky, Grasyn Elizabeth George, Brynn Alexa George, Alivia Lacey Kezmarsky and Easton Matthew George. Nancy lived for her grandchildren and no matter how she was feeling, they would make her smile. She is also survived by her loving, big sister, who called her “Weez”, Lynn A. Koosher of Morgantown, W.Va.; her brother, Scott A. Koosher of Butler; her brother-in-law, Robbie Kezmarsky and sister-in- law, Cortney Kezmarsky of Uniontown; and nieces and nephews, Shelby Pratt and husband Cody, Zachary Clingan, Kiley Kezmarsky, Jacob “JJ” Kezmarsky; as well as great-niece, Addison “Sunny” Pratt; and great- nephew, Kellan Clingan; special friends, Alan and Marsha George and many other supportive friends and family including Dr. Lawrence Glad and wife Nancy and their children; aunt and uncle, Wanda and Darrell Bryte; and cousin, Melanie Bilohavek and husband Steve.

Nancy and Stephen attended Faith Assembly Church and truly fell in love with God and became dedicated in their faith, helping them fight this long battle and prepare for Nancy to pass with peace and no regrets. Her love for God was so strong and her love for Faith Assembly was even stronger, especially her love and respect for her friends, Pastor Jason Lamer and Darlene Agostini.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, 1189 National Pike, Hopwood. Visitation continues Thursday, August 28, in the Faith Assembly Church, 700 W. Main Street, Uniontown, from 10 a.m. until the 12 noon hour of service, with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating. Interment follows at Mt. Macrina Cemetery.

The family would like to thank nurse Jane Duncan for her wonderful care of Nancy and physical therapist Josh Hughes for being so helpful to her.
