Galen Lee Edenfield

On Monday, December 1, 2025, Galen Lee Edenfield passed away in Uniontown. He was a beloved father, brother and uncle.
“Lee”, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was born in Uniontown to Edward James Edenfield, Jr. and Freda Beatrice Ditmore Edenfield.
He is survived by his son, Lee Edenfield of Pittsburgh; three siblings: Janice R. Smitley (Robert) of Atlanta, Ga.; R. Jill Edenfield of Whittier, Calif.; Guy Edenfield (Linda) of East Windsor, N.J.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his brother, Edward James Edenfield; as well as his sister, Opal Pearl Edenfield Rodgers, with whom he spent much time fishing, a favorite pastime of his, at the Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club.
Lee graduated from Laurel Highland High School before enlisting and serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was also a member of the Church of the Brethren.
He was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed watching basketball.
The family will hold a private funeral service.
To honor Lee Edenfield’s memory, the family suggests contributions be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
