Illean “Ruth” Dean Jackson Flynn, 98, of Rices Landing, formerly of Richeyville, for the last 95 years, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in the Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center, Waynesburg.

She was born April 22, 1927, in Marianna, a daughter of the late Roy and Lillie Mae Cowger Dean. Mrs. Flynn worked for both Bobbie Brooks in Washington, and Brownsville Sportswear Sewing Factories for over 20 years before her retirement.

In her free time she could be found swinging on her front porch swing, making quilts, painting pictures for her family or playing cards. Mrs. Flynn was an avid bowler for over 50 years at the local lanes. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, Harry, traveling, especially visiting her sister, Thelma in Arizona and was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Gary Jackson (Karen) of Mentor, Ohio; daughter, Donna Kachersky of Rices Landing; sister, Thelma Radeka of Queen Creek, Ariz.; six grandchildren: Doug Jackson (Regina) of Lumberton, Texas, Brian Jackson (Tina) of Mentor, Ohio, Wesley Jackson of Willoughby, Ohio, Kimberley Grimes (Jeff) of Holbrook, Dean LaCotta (LeeOra) of Price, Utah and Jerod LaCotta (Jamie) of Price, Utah; great-grandchildren: Rachel Jackson, Brianna Jackson, Ashlyn Jackson, Jackson Grimes, Joel Grimes, Anna Jackson, Kenna Jackson, Jack Nguyen, Bowan LaCotta, Lance LaCotta, Gabriella LaCotta and Sam Davis. Also surviving are several stepchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a daughter, Diana LaCotta; great-granddaughter, ShyAnn LaCotta; sister, Cloras Dean; her first husband, Lawrence Jackson and her beloved second husband, Harry Flynn.

Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, in the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home, Inc., 204 Dowlin Ave., Carmichaels, Pa. 15320, Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Owner and Aaron S. Walker, Funeral Director.

A service will be held at 1 p.m., following the visitation on Saturday, with the Reverend Nick Bardo officiating. Interment will be in the Taylor Cemetery, Centerville.
