Freda M. Hospodavis, 74, of Masontown, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025.
She was born Wednesday, September 5, 1951, a daughter of Joseph Anthony and Freda Mae Elnikar Hospodavis.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph P. Hospodavis; and her sister, Patricia Hospodavis.
She was a lifelong member of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, and currently a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, where she assisted the parish in various capacities for many years.
Freda worked for many years at the local town bank, as a teller and bookkeeper; she was a resourceful bank employee to all of her customers.
She was a wonderful cook and an excellent baker, and thoroughly enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, as well as trips to visit her brother and his family.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Patrick D. Hospodavis and wife Marie of Hummelstown; nephews, Ryan Hospodavis of Harrisburg, Nicholas Hospodavis of Hummelstown; and she is also survived by her sister- in-law, Linda Hospodavis of Michigan; and many supportive and caring cousins.
Friends will be received in the TERRAVECCHIA-HAKY HOME FOR FUNERALS, INC., 515 N. Main Street, Masontown, from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, December 22, and until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, when prayers of transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary Cemetery, Leckrone.
