Ray A. Whitacre, 77 of Dunbar Township, passed away, Thursday, December 25, 2025.
He was born April 1, 1948 a son of the late Ray and Bessie Thompson Whitacre.
Ray retired from CSX and was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. He was a member of Grace Baptist Chapel and was a man of strong faith bringing God’s love to many people during his lifetime.
Ray is survived by his loving family, his wife, Joyce VanSickle Whitacre; children, Russell and Rodney Whitacre and Charity Stamates (Stuart); six grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Amber, Russell, Jr., Ashley and Alex; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Lucy Hall; and his brother, Mark Whitacre.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna Fuller.
