Dorothy Caroline Machesky, 83, of Uniontown, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
She was born November 25, 1942, in Gwinn, Michigan, to the late Vernon and Dorothy Bailey.
She met her husband of 65 years, Bernard Machesky of Uniontown, while he was stationed at KI Sawyer Air Force Base.
Caroline, as she liked to be called, was a wonderful homemaker and the best mother anyone could ask for.
She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Evelyn; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Margaret Machesky; brother-in-law, Frank Machesky; and sister-in-law, Connie Bedock.
Caroline was exceptionally talented at sewing, painting and crafts. She enjoyed attending craft shows with her neighbor and best friend, Sandy Lonce. She also greatly enjoyed the company of her other best friend, Lois LayHue.
Caroline is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Bernard Machesky; two sons, Bernard Jr. and Rodney, who considered her his best friend.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, especially Jeanie Winfrey, Pastor Steve Davis and all the nurses and aides at Mount Macrina, for their love and exceptionally wonderful care, especially JoAnne, Angie, Nicole and Zack. We cannot thank you enough.
Arrangements under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD. Per Caroline’s wishes, there will be no viewing and services will be private with her immediate family.
