John E. Malcolm, Sr. 73, of Republic, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 18, 2025.

Born on February 14, 1952, a son of the late Boyd William and Adah Shaffer Malcolm.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bobbie Kay Malcolm; two children: Mathew and Nancy; three brothers; six sisters.

John lived a life rooted in service, love, and family. A proud Army veteran, he dedicated himself to his country before later retiring from a fulfilling career as a welder. His strong work ethic and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

John found joy in the simple things, spending time with his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their children brought him his greatest happiness. Whether on a family vacation, camping, or simply enjoying the outdoors, he made every moment count. His warmth and presence made everyone feel welcome.

A faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Carmichaels, John’s life was guided by kindness, humility, and a deep sense of community.

He is survived by his beloved son, John Malcolm Jr., and his wife Cheryl; his partner, Christine Brown; grandchildren: Diane, Baily, and Carson; sister, Netta; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews; many other loving family members.

His legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In honoring John’s wished there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

John’s professional funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., Republic, Pa.
