Sierra Ann “Boots” “Sissy” Trillow, 26, of Connellsville, PA, tragically passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at home.

She was born on April 21, 1999, in Uniontown, PA, to Tammy Sue Hixson Trillow and Joseph Edward Trillow Sr.

After graduating, Sierra was employed by Burger King, and then, she went on to become a cashier at South Side Grocer in Connellsville, PA. During her tenure there, she was promoted to assistant manager. While there, she made many friends amongst her co-workers and customers alike. Oftentimes, customers would stop in just to see her friendly face and to say “hello”, as she made a lasting, positive impression on almost everyone she came in contact with. She had an exuberant, bubbly personality.

Most recently, she was employed by Crown Cork & Seal Co. Inc., also in Connellsville, PA, as a carton sealer.

Sierra was a bright light in the lives of both her family and of so many others. She was a source of joy, laughter, and endless love. She was kind, caring, smart, beautiful, and talented. Her smile could light up a room, and her laughter was like music that filled the heart with happiness. She had a way of making everything feel better, brighter, and more hopeful, even when she wasn’t feeling so happy herself. People were drawn to her like a magnet, and her presence was a constant reminder that there is still good in the world. For those who had the privilege of knowing her, she will be greatly missed.

“We will always love you, Sierra!”

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmothers, Donna Trillow and Rosa Trillow; maternal grandparents, Bernard (Jenny) Hixson Sr.; uncles, Bernard (Sherri) Hixson Jr., James (Tonya) Burnsworth, as well as many other aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews, with whom she was very close; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins, and many very close friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph E. “Joey” Trillow Jr., whom she greatly missed; her paternal grandfather, Brent Trillow; and her dog Phoebe, who tragically passed away with her.

Friends will be received at BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Tuesday, July 22, 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2 to 8 p.m., and Thursday, July 24, noon to 1 p.m., the hour of service with Chaplain Jamie Bryant officiating.
