Patti Rae Turek, 80, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, July 29, 2025, surrounded by friends and family in Latrobe Hospital. She was born August 25, 1944, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rae Catherine Raymond O’Hern.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1962, and Mount Aloysius College in 1964.
Patti Rae was a devout parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church.
Along with other employment, Patti worked for 25 years as a medical transcriptionist at Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
Patti Rae loved living and gardening in the country and decorating their beautiful home for the holidays. She loved all sports and most enjoyed attending WVU football and basketball games with her husband, Joe. Patti Rae was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Patti Rae is survived by her husband, Joseph Turek and his children: son, Michael Turek of Dawson; daughter, Betthany Lively and her husband B.T. and grandson Carter of Brookville; and her son, Michael Irwin and wife Jessica, and two sons Cooper and Zachary Irwin of Edwards, Colo.; son, Brian Irwin of Chicago, Ill.; her sisters, Cathey Biondo of Monroeville, Dorothy Mausteller of Sacramento, Calif.
In addition to her parents, Patti Rae was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence W. Irwin; a brother, Joseph O’Hern; and a sister, Constance Eliou.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 1, in VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME LLC, 123 S. 1st Street, West Side, Connellsville (724) 628-9033. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 2, in St. Rita Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Rita Cemetery.
