Coleen D. George Gacesa, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Friday, November 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh. She was born August 3, 1968, a daughter of Howard George and Faye Hall George.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Tiffany Campbell; son- in-law, Jason Santore; and sister, Cheryl Angeline.

Coleen was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, Class of 1986. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from California University of Pennsylvania and later her Master’s degree in Nursing Education.

Coleen worked as a homecare nurse for many years before transitioning to a role in educating others through Community Life in Pittsburgh.

Coleen was an absolutely wonderful person. She devoted herself to showing love and compassion to everyone she met. She was loved by her friends, coworkers, countless patients, and her family. She was the best Mimi to her three beautiful grandkids, Annabel, Reilly and Emery. Everything she did, she did with her whole heart. She made every milestone, birthday, and holiday the most magical occasion. There is nothing that she would not do for the people she loved. Her family was her everything. She loved educating and caring for people. She loved music and the beach and making the most wonderful memories with her loved ones. She was truly the most beautiful person inside and out. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish Coleen’s memory are her loving husband, R. Eric Gacesa; her dedicated daughters, Chris Mazzocco and husband Rich, and Brandi Campbell and husband Ryan Johnson, all of Pittsburgh; adoring grandchildren, Annabel, Reilly and Emery; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown. Services were private at her request.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Light of Life Rescue Mission.

Memories and condolences can be shared with the family at adferguson.com and on the funeral home Facebook page.
