Kimberly K. Noschese, 62, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

She was born on September 10, 1963, in Perryopolis, the daughter of the late Robert and Patricia Flannigan Gantner.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend; cherished by everyone who knew her kind heart, unwavering strength and infectious sense of humor.

Kim retired from Connellsville Area School District as a cafeteria worker. She worked for the district for 27 years.

Kim’s greatest joy in life was her family. She shared a deep and loving bond with her husband, Joel, whom she was married to for 42 years. Their love story was one of mutual respect, affection, and shared memories that will be forever treasured. Kim’s devotion to Joel was a testament to the love and commitment they shared.

In addition to her husband, Kim is survived by her beloved brother, Regis Gantner and wife, Debbie; her sister, Karen Basinger and husband, Bill; brothers-in-law: John R. Noschese and wife, Shari, Jeff Noschese and Jason Noschese and wife, Jodie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kim was predeceased by her only son, Ryan, who passed away in 2017. Her heart was forever marked by the loss of Ryan, but she found strength in his memory, always carrying him in her heart. Kim was also predeceased by her brother, Scott Gantner; and her beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack R. and Phyllis J. Noschese.

Kim was known for her incredible resilience and her ability to face life’s challenges with grace and courage. Her battle with cancer was a reflection of her strength. She approached each day with a positive spirit and never gave up, even in the toughest moments.

Kim’s laughter was infectious, and she had a special way of making others feel seen and heard. She was always there to lend a listening ear, offer a helping hand, or simply share a smile. She had a deep love for cooking, a passion she learned from her father (especially during the holiday season). Some of her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen, especially when making perogies and shooters, dishes that connected generations and brought comfort to all who shared in them.

She enjoyed taking trips to the cabin with Joel watching wildlife, especially bears.

Her caring nature touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to hospice nurse, Michelle McIntyre and hospice aide, Kylee Grimm with Amedysis Hospice for their exceptional care, compassion and kindness. Your support and gentle hearts meant so much during this difficult time.

Kim’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know her.

Following through with Kim’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being held under the direction of the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME LLC, 123 S. 1st Street, West Side, Connellsville, 724-628-9033.
