Ann R. LaPorte, 89, of Connellsville, died Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in the Hillside Manor, Uniontown. She was born April 12, 1936, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Ray J. and Mildred Louise Beatty Lunnen.
Ann was a 1954 graduate of Connellsville High School and a graduate of the former California State Teachers College.
She formerly taught for several years in the Connellsville Township Schools.
Ann was a member of the Covenant Baptist Church in Uniontown.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori Loss and husband Randy of Camp Hill, and Becki LaPorte of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Brandon Loss and Kelland Loss; and one brother, Ray Lunnen of State College.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert F. LaPorte; and a brother, Thomas Lunnen.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 20, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 E. Green Street, Connellsville, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, with clergy from the Covenant Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park.
